Row, Row, Row your Canoe or Paddleboard

Perfect for water-adventure seekers – Crystal Lake is the best way to enjoy the great outdoors! Cruise the 300-acres of Crystal Lake waters via kayak, canoe, or paddleboard! No water crafts? No problem! Burnsville offers many places in and near the city to purchase sporting goods, water accessories, and beach necessities! Be sure to be careful of passing boats, jet skis, or other watercrafts also using the water.

 

Have a Picnic

What better way to practice safe social distancing than packing a lunch or picking up take-out and heading to the beach for a picnic! Sit on the beach, use a picnic table in the picnic area and shelter, or head to the grassy area to enjoy your picnic. There are plenty of restaurants offering take out near Crystal Lake Beach!

 

 

Sunbathe on the Beach

There is absolutely no shortage of sun to be soaked up on the beach of Crystal Beach Park! Come relax, soak, or swim at the beach here! The park covers almost 24-acres of land on the east side of the lake. The sandy beaches are just the start of the sun-activities awaiting you here. The park also includes a playground perfect for all ages, a sandy volleyball court, picnic area, and even free WiFi!

 

 

Fishing

Pack your tackle box, fishing rod, and bucket hat and head to Crystal Lake. The waters of Crystal Lake are a fisherman’s ideal spot to cast your fishing pole and reel in some fish. This lake offers a variety of ways to throw a line into the water. On the west end of the lake there is an easy-to-use boat ramp perfect for boats of various sizes.

If you prefer shore fishing – the west side of the lake is also perfect for anglers to fish off the shore. On the North shore near the middle of the lake, there is a fishing pier perfect for catching more familiar fish. Although Crystal Lake is more so known as a Bass-Panfish lake, expect to catch these fish that are typically of average size with an occasional trophy-worthy fish:

  • Bluegill
  • Crappie
  • Hybrid Muskie
  • Bullhead Species
  • Yellow Perch
