One of the best parts of a vacation is reliving your trip through your photos, and Burnsville has a wide selection of areas perfect for Instagram, with striking sculptures, buildings, and scenery. Check out some breathtaking Instagram Hotspots in Burnsville, Minnesota!

Ames Center

The two-story, all-glass lobby of the Ames Center curves around Nicollet Commons Park, with views of the Minnesota River Valley and Minneapolis skyline. Don’t forget to stop by the Burnsville Convention & Visitors Bureau or attend one of the dance, comedy, or music acts at the center!

Guthrie Theater

If there’s one spot just begging for a ‘gram, it’s the Guthrie Theater. On Level Nine, the whole floor is enclosed in hued glass. Take amazing, album cover worthy pictures with a backdrop of the surrounding Twin Cities skyline and banks of the Mississippi. You can’t take photos during performances, but be sure to take a shot of their beautiful sets before or after the show!

Walker Art Center

At one of the largest urban sculpture gardens in the country, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden & Wurtele Upper Garden, you’ll want to take a photo of the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry fountain. The giant blue rooster, Hahn/Cock, and large LOVE sign will probably be on your list, too. Be sure to check out the bright tri-color bridge and breath-taking views of the Minneapolis-St. Paul skyline from the top of the center.

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory has exotic plants and beautiful displays in its many gardens, as well as plenty of animals both indoors and outdoors. Take a stunning selfie among colorful flowersponds, and elegant architecture. It also makes the perfect place for an engagement photoshoot!

The Garage

Did you even come to Burnsville if you didn’t grab a pic in front of their sign? The Garage is an all-ages alcohol-free music venue and their distinctive, black sign is ideal for a group photo after seeing a band in an awesome, intimate venue.

Crystal Beach

A clear-water beach with plenty of sand, Crystal Beach is a fantastic place to snap pictures of stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, or playing in the sand. In the evening, catch the sun setting beautifully on the water.

Nicollet Commons Park

Nicollet Commons Park is one of the first “town square” style parks and features rows of flowers and a fun water feature for the kids with a pond area and waterfall. It has an amphitheater and picnic area, and with its City of Burnsville Public WiFi, uploading photos is a breeze.

Buck Hill

Take stellar photos year-round of skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and summer tubing. You can snap pictures of jumps, tricks off the rail, and much more. In warmer months, you can also take a yoga course at the top of a serene hill with the city of Burnsville stretching out below.

Mall of America

Just 10 minutes from Burnsville is the largest mall in the United States with 520 stores. It has so many amazing places for photos including Nickelodeon Universe (a 7-acre indoor amusement park), SEA LIFE Aquarium, the LEGO Storemini-golf, world-class gaming, and entertainment centers.

Minnesota Zoo

Get your phone out for beautiful photos of tigers, wolves, and red pandas at the Minnesota Zoo or one of the other 4,200 animals comprising over 500 species from 5 continents. Take selfies with llamas at the Llama Trek and check out shark feedings in Discovery Bay!

Burnsville Bicentennial Garden

Another Burnsville treasure, the Bicentennial Garden, is right in Civic Center Park and has beautiful scenery for a photoshoot or private picnic. The stone fountain at its center is its highlight.
