The International Festival of Burnsville was established in 2006 to celebrate the city’s cultural diversity. The Festival takes place at Nicollet Commons Park each summer and features a range of music and dance groups representing cultures around the globe. In addition to music, guests and their families can purchase food, admire culture displays, and engage in kid-friendly activities.
New in 2023, Art and All That Jazz is excited to announce a 2-day festival, kicking off on Friday, August 18th with the Gala night, featuring recording artist Steve Cole. The fun continues Saturday, August 19th from 12 to 9pm at Nicollet Commons Park. This year’s festival lineup will include Jay Youngs and the Lyric Factory with special guest Ginger Commodore, Mary Louise Knutson Trio with special guest Patty Peterson, and Grammy Award winner Jamecia Bennett. The Burnsville Festival Fire Muster community event began in 1980 and is celebrating its 43rd anniversary in 2023. This year’s event will feature the annual medallion hunt, Festival Block Party on the Plaza (Wednesday), Classic Car Show and Craft Beer Tasting (Thursday), carnival rides, bingo, fire truck water display, live music from the Johnny Holm Band (Friday night) and Take It to The Limit/Eagles Tribute Band and The Fabulous Armadillos (Saturday night), fireworks, and Community and Fire Truck parade. Whether you’re an avid runner or want to stroll through the beautiful streets on Burnsville, MN, sign up for the 11th Annual Heart of the City Race – A Run to Remember. The event features a 15K, 10K, 5K and 1K Kid’s Fun Run.
