Festive Family Fun in the Twin Cities Area

The holiday season is here which means the kids are off school, offices are closing momentarily and families are looking for festive ways to spend their time together. Follow along for all of the festive family fun there is to be had in the Burnsville, Minnesota area this holiday season!

 

Lights, A Big Tree & Entertainment

Kick-off the holiday season by attending the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Burnsville at Nicollet Commons Park. This festive event is sure to put you in the holiday spirit as the ceremony is home to more than 200,000 mini lights, 230 streetlight snowflakes, and a 30-foot Christmas tree! You and the family can even take time to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus or enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and plenty of refreshments. Holidazzle

This longtime Minneapolis holiday tradition runs Fridays through Sundays starting on Friday, November 25 and ends on Sunday, December 18th. The festival is located in Loring Park and includes a wide variety of food, beverages, and gifts for anyone on your list. Grab a blanket and enjoy one of the special holiday movie screenings or watch fireworks depending on what night you decide to go. Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus or grab your ice skates and take a few trips around the onsite outdoor ice rink. There are also a variety of special circulating events, so be sure to learn more before you go!

Enjoy the colors of the season by checking out the Holiday Flower Show at Como Park Conservatory from Saturday, December 3 through Sunday, January .
