Summer Series – Planning Your Weekday Visit in June

Summer has arrived, thank goodness, and it’s time to start planning the fun! We have put together a guide to help you best plan your time in Burnsville this summer. Below are some fun happenings that you should be sure to add to your calendar.

Remember, before deciding on all the things you will do, be sure to book your stay! Lock in the best rates by planning ahead. Oh and don’t forget to snag a hotel with an indoor pool for even more fun during your stay.

 

Planning Your Visit to Burnsville in June

Mondays

Head to the Minnesota Zoo to get a fresh perspective on nature via the new Treetop Trail. The 1.25-mile walking path brings you up 32 feet above the ground to see the animals and nature from a unique view.

After getting your nature fix, grab your grown kids or your favorite gal pals and head to JL Beers fill your belly with tasty burgers, sandwiches and more. And it’s in the name, don’t forget to wash it down with a cold beer.

 

 

Tuesdays

Get ready to stop and smell the roses when you stop by Como Zoo for their Summer Flower Show. Floral favorites such as angelonia, petunias,  bengonias, impatiens, coleus, salvia and verbena will be on display. Learn more here.

After you stop to smell the flowers plan on popping over to Porter Creek Hardwood Grill for happy hour everyday from 3-6pm. You can score deals on beers, wine, well drinks and food. After satisfying your hunger plan to make a night of it by testing your knowledge at Bricksworth Beer Co. for trivia at 7pm!

 

 

Wednesdays

Weekly Wheels Car and Bike Meet at Buck Hill – This free event is an opportunity to show your car, truck, or motorcycle and meet with other enthusiasts from the greater metro community! 

With a large 600 parking space lot and full service on-site restaurant (BUCK ’54 BAR & GRILL) with in parking lot food and beverage offerings the location is perfect for you to enjoy the great weather and time with friends and family! Learn more here.

 

 

Thursdays

Who doesn’t love some locally grown produce, flowers, and made from scratch products? We know we do! Be sure to check out the Saint Paul Farmers’ Market which runs every Thursday 11:30am-4:30pm May-October. Only fresh, locally grown produce is sold directly from the grower to the consumer to support and allow access to healthy foods and small family farming. They have a variety of produce, flowers, meats, honey, eggs, and more! Learn more here.

After grabbing some tasty local produce, quench your thirst and test your brains at Ineffable Brewing Co for Themed Trivia Night every Thursday. View trivia schedule here.
